Feds say Pakistani national backed by Iran plotted to assassinate Trump, others in murder-for-hire scheme

Pakistani national Asif Merchant allegedly plotted with Iran to kill U.S. politicians, including President Donald Trump, in 2024, but was caught by FBI agents posing as assassins.
